Brief: Create a Soccer kit that resonates with traditional, well-received soccer kits while emphasizing the FUT birthday stadium theme
The FIFA game series is the most anticipated sports game worldwide. Based on real-life player stats and soccer matches, this game series immerses the player into the world of soccer. This design project entailed creating a soccer kit for live release into FIFA 21, for the FUT birthday campaign. This involved utilizing elements of the stadium theme (banners, tifo, and ad boards) such as color, texture, and illustrative assets. I crafted this kit design based on researching past successful kit designs by seeking out what elements on soccer kits were most and least well received by players. With a combination of research, maintaining brand guidelines, and including elements of this stadium theme, I created this FUT 21 birthday kit which was released into the game for the FIFA Ultimate Team game mode anniversary.
A trophy was required to be designed as an award for players completing the Hawk vs Gladiator chemistry styles. These trophy concepts showed either direct conflict (defence vs offence) with a hawk battling a gladiator or metaphorically encompassing this expression.
These projects were for individual drops in Volta and FUT: the Volta designs featured are the plant-based and shattered collections and the FUT balls were for various in-game reward drops (fire ball, ancient ruins, cubist, 8-bit, planet earth, and hypnotic ball rewards).
